What is the story and passion behind the opening of Bodega Olé, Naples, FL?Bodega Olé Owner

Born in the bustling streets of New York City, John’s curiosity for art, design, and marketing budded early on. As a young breakdancer, he honed his skills on urban asphalt until an opportunity arose to bring his talents to the glitz and glam of Los Angeles. Though he auditioned for fame under the California sun, John found his true calling in the exceptional service and lavish amenities at the celebrity hotspot Four Seasons Beverly Hills. From that day forward, he knew the hospitality industry was his destiny.

Over the years, John’s expertise and reputation opened doors at Ian Schrager’s hip Hudson Hotel, the edgy yet refined Morgan and Royalton “boutique hotels,” and other trendsetting projects. But in 2015, a fateful vacation to Naples, Florida awoke a long-held dream. Immediately smitten with the city, John recognized a gaping hole in Naples’ culinary scene – the lack of authentic Spanish cuisine. With Hispanic roots in Puerto Rico, John longed to share the comfort foods of his childhood and the refined flavors of Spain.

The food at Bodega Olé is just as amazing as the atmosphere. This image shows a plate of paella,Paella Marinera a traditional Spanish dish made with rice, seafood, and vegetables. In 2017, John planted his roots in Naples to make this dream a reality. After years of searching, he finally found the perfect location and partnered with Dr. Orlando Fernandez of Barbosa Kitchen. Together they rebranded the restaurant with a bold Spanish vision. Out went the old and in came Moorish tiles, vintage travel posters, crystal chandeliers, and more to transport diners to the Iberian Peninsula. John brought on creative chefs and crafted an ever-evolving Spanish menu from his treasured family recipes.   Nightly entertainment, an exciting new wine list, and Naples’ best churros complete the Bodega Olé experience.

Bodega Olé now offers a warm, chic, intimate setting with a true Spanish flair. It’s a spot for date nights, gatherings with family and friends, and savoring flavors you won’t find anywhere else in Naples.
